Continuing Hurricane Melissa Response — Jamaica (2026)

In late 2025, FCFI responded to the devastating effects of Hurricane Melissa across southern Jamaica, sending an initial assessment team into affected rural communities. That survey team returned with extensive photos and firsthand accounts of the widespread destruction — including homes and churches with lost roofs and extensive interior damage — which deepened our understanding of the urgent needs on the ground.

As we move into 2026, the response continues. In early February, a new FCFI team will travel to Jamaica to begin repairs on a local church that was severely damaged and to support partner pastors and families still struggling to recover. This phase of work reflects both the ongoing need and our commitment to practical, on-the-ground assistance.
